One of the things I did early, in my early thirties is that I realized that the women in my family tend to be overweight so I started a little prevention mode – watching what I ate and cutting back on dairy and from carbohydrates like bread and all that stuff in order to maintain my weight but I still managed to put on extra pounds. When I turned forty, I still put on an extra ten pounds, and then it was fifteen and then twenty and I just could not shed the extra last 20. And I was exercising, watching my weight, and I’m doing extra things and what have you, and I discovered a little secret and that secret is eating in accordance to your blood type – and I know I did a video about this before but recently, I self-diagnosed myself with Celiac disease, I came down with a huge rash and I had anemia and really bad gas so what I did was I went through my books from my ND, because I’m an ND, natural doctor and I went to my doctor and he did blood tests and saliva tests and he still couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me so I had to figure it out myself through the process of elimination: checking out different foods and discovered that I was allergic to gluten and seriously allergic to it to the point where I can’t even cheat and eat a piece of pizza or anything.
And so since October of 2009, I have been living a completely g-free diet and without even trying to, I lost 20 pounds. I went from 155 to 135 and so they key, if you are over forty because I lost a tremendous amount of weight even after having children.
